Suspicious Package Leads to Evacuation of Business in Lower Macungie; Route 100 Now Open Again | Lehigh Valley Regional News

The Ryder Logistics warehouse on Congdonhill Drive in Lehigh County was evacuated after reports of a suspicious package in Lower Macungie Township. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, causing traffic to be heavily affected in the area. Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky confirmed that the area was evacuated, and part of Route 100 was temporarily closed. However, the road has since reopened, and Congdon Hill Drive remains closed at Spring Creek Road as of 4:30 p.m.

The Allentown Bomb Squad was called to assist in the investigation, along with K9s and the state police explosives team shortly after 2 p.m., which is when the incident occurred. The investigation is still ongoing as updates are being provided on this developing story as new information becomes available.
