Alleged ATM Theft Leads to Investigation in Rapides Parish: Criminal Damage, Simple Burglary, and Theft Charges Pending

Police investigating after a man reportedly stole an ATM from a business

A man is being investigated by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office for allegedly stealing an ATM from a business in Boyce. On February 12, at around 4:55 a.m., a man approached a business in the 5500 block of Old Boyce Road and allegedly backed up a black Ford Fusion into the building, rammed the front doors and broke them off the hinges to gain access.

Once inside, RPSO said he took the ATM machine, placed it in his vehicle and left about six minutes later. The suspect is wanted for simple burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. The black Ford Fusion has heavy damage to its rear and is missing side mirrors. It also lost its rear bumper and several undercarriage items.
