Frida Maanum from Arsenal was given a heart monitoring device following her collapse during the FA Women’s League Cup final.

Arsenal’s midfielder Frida Maanum collapsed during the team’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Women’s Cup final last Sunday. She has been fitted with a monitoring device to track her heart function and will continue to be under medical supervision. Despite extensive testing, no obvious cardiac causes have been found so far, but Maanum plans to return to training after receiving support from the medical team at Arsenal.

The incident occurred in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time when Maanum collapsed on the field. She was treated by medical staff and left the match on a stretcher after regaining consciousness. The game resumed after a nine-minute stoppage, with Arsenal eventually winning 1-0 in extra time. Stina Blackstenius scored the winning goal in the 116th minute.
