The Lions entered the game hoping to prove that they were one of the NFL’s best teams. However, the game in Detroit was not pretty and tested their abilities to win. The Bears initially dominated most of the game, with Justin Fields effectively moving the ball and their defense shutting down Jared Goff.
Despite this, the Lions managed to score two late touchdowns and a last-minute safety to pull off a stunning 31-26 win after the Bears had a 26-14 lead late in the fourth quarter. Fields had a strong performance, surpassing 100 rushing yards and passing the ball effectively. However, he finished on a less than positive note by being sacked and fumbling out of the back of an end zone.
On the other hand, Goff struggled for most of the day, throwing three interceptions. But he managed to lead his team on a comeback in crunch time. The loss was disappointing for both teams, but it was especially tough for Chicago as they have been struggling throughout this season at 3-8 while Detroit has been performing well at 8-2.
