On Monday, the Bengals announced the signing of Drew Plitt to their practice squad. Plitt, who had previously been with the team during the 2022 preseason, had not been on an NFL roster since being cut that summer. However, he recently played for Arlington in the XFL during the league’s 2023 season, where he had a 63-of-100 for 668 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions record.
With Jake Browning set to start for the Bengals and AJ McCarron in line for the No. 2 job, the team looks to add to their quarterback depth with the addition of Plitt. The Bengals have also designated running back Chase Brown for return from injured reserve and placed guard Jaxson Kirkland on the practice squad injured reserve.
