Bracketology Update: Arizona Takes Over as No. 1 Seed; Mountain West Conference Could Get a Six-Bid Invitation

Arizona Claims No. 1 Seed in Men’s Tournament

In the world of college basketball, playing at home can make all the difference when it comes to winning games. This latest bracketology update sees Arizona taking over as a projected No. 1 seed after completing a weekend road sweep against Colorado in blowout fashion. The Volunteers, previously a No. 1 seed, suffered a hot streak and were pushed out of their spot on the top line after an overtime win at Utah.

The other three regional header teams remain unchanged: Connecticut, Purdue, and Houston. However, Clemson and Virginia are trending upwards while Wisconsin and Kentucky are heading in the opposite direction. There’s also a possibility of a six-bid Mountain West Conference.

Two teams that moved within the “last four in” slots include Mississippi and Utah while Nebraska and Nevada are the other two teams in that category.
