An exhibit of paintings by Georgeanne Gaffney will open on Friday, Dec. 1 at the Adirondack Artists Guild in Saranac Lake. The Adirondack Artists Guild is a cooperative retail art gallery that represents a diverse group of artists residing and working in the Tri-Lakes region of the Adirondack Park. The gallery is located at 52 Main St, Saranac Lake, and can be reached at 518 891-2615.
Gaffney’s paintings cover a wide range of subjects, sizes, and materials, and she has chosen the title “Luminance” for this exhibit to convey the romantic and dreamy mood of her works. The pieces in the exhibit range from a large 8ft landscape on gilded panels to mini gilded water lily and floral pieces the size of a business card, and everything in between. The exhibit will run from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31, with a reception on Friday, Dec. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at the gallery.
The Adirondack Artists Guild is committed to showcasing local talent and promoting art education in the community through classes and workshops offered throughout the year
