Jets reach out to Corey Davis for possible reunion

Following Corey Davis’ release by the Jets on March 14, there is a possibility that the wide receiver could rejoin Gang Green. During a press conference at the AFC coaches breakfast, Coach Robert Saleh stated that the team is in regular communication with Davis and that the door is always open for him to return. Reporter Connor Hughes has also reported that the Jets are interested in bringing Davis back to the team.

If Davis does rejoin the Jets, it would give their wide receiving group a significant boost. The team already has Garrett Wilson and recently-signed Mike Williams, making them a formidable trio. In August 2021, Davis took a break from the game but was later reinstated, allowing him to make a comeback to the NFL. Prior to joining the Jets, Davis spent his first four years with the Tennessee Titans before signing with Gang Green in 2021.

During his time with the Jets, Davis showed promise as an asset to their offense, recording 66 receptions for 1,028 yards and six touchdowns in his first two seasons with the team. If he were to re-sign with Gang Green, it could create a dynamic wide receiving corps that opposing teams would have to contend with.
