In a shocking turn of events, three Czech football players have been suspended from the national team after they were caught in a nightclub just 48 hours before the crucial match against Moldova in the EURO 2024 qualifiers. According to Czech media reports on Sunday, defenders Vladimir Coufal of West Ham and Jakub Brabec of Aris Thessaloniki, as well as Sparta Prague forward Jan Kuchta, were photographed in an Olomouc nightclub.

The violations of the internal rules were fundamental and immediate action was taken. The players left the base camp of the national team with immediate effect. DNES newspaper claims that these photographs were taken in the city where Czech Republic will meet Moldova on Monday. With this suspension, it is now uncertain if the Czechs will be able to secure at least a draw and qualify for EUROs, which will be held in Germany next June.
