In 2014, DLH Holdings began a partnership with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the lead federal agency supporting scientific research on drug use and addiction. This partnership has now been extended with a new contract award to DLH, which will continue providing information technology services for NIDA. The contract is valued at approximately $23 million and includes a base period of one year with four one-year options.
Under this award, DLH will provide a range of information technology services for NIDA. These include managing the operations of an integrated advanced clinical/research informatics series of systems that enable researchers to share data and resources in real time. Additionally, the company will be responsible for the research, design, development, and maintenance of clinical and scientific informatics, Intranet applications, and public web pages, as well as IT infrastructure and desktop support. All of this work is fully funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
