During the first half of Florida State’s game against North Alabama, QB Jordan Travis suffered a serious lower left leg injury. The injury occurred during a tackle, when Travis’ leg became trapped. Although the team was trailing at the time of his injury, they went on to win once backup QB Tate Rodemaker took over.
Travis had been a standout player for the Seminoles and had an impressive track record during his time at Florida State. He had even been considered for the Heisman Trophy. However, with Travis sidelined by the injury, the Seminoles will be relying on Rodemaker for the remainder of the season.
Travis was carted off the field after being given an air cast and taken to the hospital to treat his injury. It remains to be seen how long he will be out of action, but it is clear that this setback has put a major dent in Florida State’s plans for this season.
