Johnny Nguyen, a man who fled his home country during the Vietnam War, has built a successful business and life for himself in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His journey was not an easy one, as he and his brother lived in an immigrant camp in Malaysia before moving to the United States. Despite facing hardships such as food shortages and supply chain issues, Nguyen’s determination to give his children a better life kept him going.

Once in America, Nguyen worked various jobs while continuing his education. He eventually started a printing business which allowed him to enter the construction industry, leading to the creation of DVR Cabinetry in Northeast Philadelphia. Today, DVR Cabinetry is thriving with around 25 employees and Nguyen hopes to hire another 50 people as his business continues to grow.

Nguyen believes that his success is a product of the American Dream and wants to inspire others by emphasizing the opportunities available in the United States.
