Gibbs, Wallace, and Gragson make it to Sunday’s All-Star Race.

After an intense battle, Gibbs emerged victorious in the All-Star Open and secured a spot in the All-Star Race. Wallace followed closely behind, finishing second in the race. Gragson was awarded the final spot in the All-Star Race after winning the fan vote for the second consecutive year.

Gibbs took an early lead, leading the first 50 laps from pole position. He managed to maintain his advantage over Wallace, building up a two-second lead before the mid-race break and mandatory four-tire pit stops. Bowman made up ground during the pit stops, moving up two spots, but Gibbs held on to win his first All-Star Open. Wallace overtook Bowman for second place during a restart after what appeared to be a tire confusion issue involving speeding penalties given to LaJoie and Nemechek that pushed them off of the lead lap.

In another pit stop mishap, Cindric spun into the wall after contact with Hocevar while racing as high as third in the first 50 laps. Despite this setback, he finished last, 18 laps down. Wise’s 2014 fan vote win remains one of the biggest upsets in All-Star Race history.
