The Hajduk players, led by their top player Marko Livaj, have announced their departure from playing for the team “Fire” during the Euro qualifiers. Now, they are preparing for the continuation of the HNL with just four rounds left until the end of the year.
The leading team of the championship is set to face off against Istra 1961 in one of their remaining matches on Sunday at 3 p.m. This match has the potential to break the record for attendance at a home game for Istria, which currently stands at 7,500 spectators during a Cup semi-final against Rijeka.
Istria has sold out all tickets for the southern stand, where visiting fans will be seated, as well as for the eastern stand, where fans with Hajduk’s insignia can enter. However, there are still tickets available for the northern tribune on sale. The stadium’s capacity is around 8,900 seats and currently has 1,246 tickets remaining. It is expected that more “late” tickets will be sold before the game starts, so it looks like attendance records could fall at Istria Stadium this weekend thanks to Hajduk’s fan support.
