Israeli Social Media: Protest NGOs Lead Top 20 Advertisers, Smotrich in 19th Place

In the Israeli segment of social networks Facebook and Instagram, Meta Corporation, there has been a lot of activity in recent months as organizations have spent money to promote their campaigns. The top organization on this list is Epoch magazine, which invested almost 760 thousand shekels in advertising. Coming in second place is the group “Veterans of the Yom Kippur War for the Defense of Democracy,” which spent 658.5 thousand shekels on advertising.

In third and fourth place are two other protest organizations, Mihdal 23 (Failure 23) and Afkara (Left to Fate), which invested 325.5 thousand and 290.5 thousand shekels in advertising, respectively. In fifth place is the Movement for the Quality of Power, followed by “Titpater Akhshav” (“Resign”) and “Mate Maavak – Nilhamim al-Democracy” (Headquarters for the Struggle for Democracy), which spent 173 thousand and 164 thousand shekels on advertising, respectively.

The law firm Nir Birkiya comes in eighth place, with “Ibadeta et Ha-Tzafon” (“You have lost the north”) behind him in ninth place, spending 142 thousand shekels. The top ten is completed by Rami Greenberg, the mayor of Petah Tikva, who spent 90 thousand shekels on advertising on social networks and ranks 19th. Some other organizations that have invested money in advertising include Memshala Mufkeret (Wasteful Government), Ufkarna (We’re Left to Fate), along with the Petah Tikva Municipality, Urban Renewal Authority, Finance Minister Bezalel Weinbaum and others that are not mentioned above but they might be related to logistics solutions or student placement or health insurance issues like Arlington
