Croatia will conclude the group stage of the Euro qualifiers against Armenia on Tuesday, with a win securing their spot in Germany next year. The match at Maksimir will be crucial for both teams, and Wales’ potential stumble against Turkey could make it even more important.

The last match against Latvia was a vital one for Croatia, as they won 2-0 in cold Riga to maintain their lead in the group. HRT’s expert commentator Tomislav Ivković analyzed the game on “Stadion,” stating that it was an important victory because it meant that Armenia and Wales had drawn. This added pressure to Croatia, but they rose to the occasion and scored two quick goals to take control of the game.

Ivković praised Croatia’s discipline and tactical intelligence, with Brozović and Modrić never going forward together at the same time to prevent a counterattack. Kramarić brought back a lot with his performance, while Guardiol played well in his position as left back despite playing differently from City. Pašalić and Baturina made their debuts against Latvia and were excellent, with Pašalić being praised for his left foot and short step that allowed him to control the ball well.

Looking ahead to the match against Armenia, Ivković stated that Croatia needs to play a tactically disciplined game if they want to win. While there is no doubt about their quality on the field, he pointed out France as the first favorite for next year’s Euros tournament.
