The Jaguars are making a strong comeback after their loss to the 49ers last Sunday. In the first quarter, Trevor Lawrence connected with Calvin Ridley for a touchdown and the Jaguars’ defense effectively shut down the Titans’ offense. As a result, Jacksonville leads 13-0 at halftime.
Lawrence, who was recently added back to the injury report due to his knee injury, had an impressive performance with 11 out of 16 completions for 109 yards. He also gained additional yardage thanks to pass interference penalties by Titans cornerback Roger McCreary. Despite this, Tennessee managed to give the Jags another first down by lining up in the neutral zone on a short third down. However, it was Jags linebacker Foye Oluokon who recovered a lost snap by quarterback Will Levis, which was Tennessee’s only turnover of the day.
On their next drive, Ridley scored another touchdown for Jacksonville, and the Titans punted three times in the first half without gaining any ground. Overall, it looks like the Jaguars are well on their way to bouncing back from their previous loss and taking home a victory against their rivals.
