In week 12, USA TODAY’s Paul Myerberg examines the US LBM Coaches Poll and argues for Washington to be considered for the number four spot in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. Meanwhile, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell expressed his disappointment at Jordan Travis’ injury during a game against North Alabama. Despite being down 13-0, the Seminoles rallied to win 58-13 with backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker and freshman quarterback Brock Glenn stepping up in Travis’ absence.

Travis, who was saddened to end his college career this way, was appreciative to the fans who cheered for him and provided live commentary from his hospital bed during the rest of the game. The Seminoles will face in-state rival Florida next week as they continue their pursuit of a place in the College Football Playoff.
