As the holiday season approaches, men’s college basketball is heating up with several top players set to enter the transfer portal. In his latest article for For The Win, Bryan Kalbrosky shares who you should be watching in the coming weeks.

Despite a relatively quiet start to the season, there are several key matchups on the horizon that could shake up the rankings. One of these is the Maui Invitational, which features half of the top 10 teams in men’s college basketball. Kansas and Purdue are among those set to play in this loaded tournament, as well as No. 8 Tennessee and Gonzaga. UCLA is also scheduled to participate and has the potential to make waves in Honolulu.

While there were minimal changes near the top of the USA TODAY Sports men’s basketball coaches poll this week, there were still some shakeups lower down. Florida Atlantic tumbled ten spots to No. 20 after a loss to Bryant, while Colorado joined the rankings at No. 21 and Memphis entered at No. 23. This move bumped Mississippi State out of the top 25 and created four dropouts thanks to last week’s tie for 25th between UCLA and Virginia.
