A 39-year-old business owner from Stowe Township is in custody after allegedly shooting a 15-year-old customer who attempted to steal a tip jar from his restaurant. The incident happened on Saturday night at Hook Fish and Chicken restaurant located on Broadway Avenue.
According to reports, the customer entered the restaurant and grabbed the tip jar from behind the counter. As he turned to leave, the owner, Mohammed Hamdan, fired at least three shots at him with a pistol. The customer was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The police were notified of the shooting and responded promptly to the scene. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, they determined that there was no threat involved and that the teenager was not armed.
