In his recent ‘Football Morning in America’ column, NBC Sports’ Peter King recognized several players for their standout performances during Week 11. One of the offensive players of the week named by King was Tommy DeVito, the quarterback for the New York Giants. Despite being sacked nine times during the game, DeVito displayed decisiveness and confidence in his performance.

With 18 completions on 26 attempts for 246 yards, three touchdown passes, and no interceptions, DeVito earned a passer rating of 137.7, the highest of any undrafted rookie since 1967. Additionally, DeVito had a perfect passer rating of 158.3 on third down, demonstrating his ability to deliver in crucial situations. His two touchdown passes against the Commanders, combined with his performance in the previous week’s game against the Cowboys, made him the first Giants quarterback with at least five touchdowns in his first two NFL starts since 1950.

DeVito’s outstanding performance also caught the attention of ‘Good Morning Football’ host Peter Schrager, who awarded him with a game ball for his efforts in Week 11. With future games ahead, DeVito’s strong showing has put him in a position to continue making a positive impact for the Giants.
