In the 15th round of the Supersport First Football League, Croatia and BSK Bijelo Brdo played to a 1-1 draw. The match was full of excitement and a move that is not often seen. The young goalkeeper of Bijelo Brdo, Aleksandar Vukelic (18), made a mistake that allowed home Croatia to score and tie the game just ten minutes before the end.
After the match, coach Denis Krstanović of Bijelo Brdo expressed his disappointment with the outcome. “This game was unworthy of any sport, except maybe motocross,” he said. “On behalf of the whole team, I want to express maximum support to our Aca because this mistake hit him very hard.” Krstanović added that Vukelic did an excellent job overall and was a valuable member of the team.
Vukelic himself took the criticism in stride, acknowledging that he had made a mistake but knowing that he had been through much worse things in his life. He knew that he would come out stronger from this experience and that his teammates were all with him. “Head up! He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone!” Vukelic said with determination.
