The Superior Health Foundation awarded $722,065.93 in proactive pediatric mental health grants to six organizations during its fall grant award celebration in October. The recipients were the Michigan State University – Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc., Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan University and Marquette-Alger RESA.
The foundation has announced that Pediatric Mental Health Grants will be awarded over a two-year period. The event was presented by 44North and was attended by representatives from the organizations that received grants.
The goal of these grants is to improve access to mental health services for children in the region. Each organization will use the funds to develop and implement programs that address the unique needs of their community.
