The construction of a new Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. hospital campus has begun on the west side of Fond du Lac. Located at 755 W. Johnson St., the former site of the Younkers store at Forest Mall, the facility is expected to offer 24/7 access to emergency, inpatient and outpatient care by 2025. The $35 million project will result in a smaller-scale but modern facility with services that may expand over time based on community needs.
During a press conference at the groundbreaking, Froedtert ThedaCare Health President Imran Andrabi stated that the goal of the new campus was to provide coordinated care close to home. This joint venture between Froedtert Health and ThedaCare aims to provide high-quality healthcare services in Fond du Lac’s area.
In addition to the hospital, a temporary clinic has opened on Fond du Lac’s east side, with a permanent clinic currently under construction nearby. This initiative in Fond du Lac is part of a larger plan by Froedtert ThedaCare Health that also includes plans for a hospital in Oshkosh. With this development, residents of Fond du Lac and its surrounding areas can look forward to enhanced healthcare services coming soon to their community.
