The CAA Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards for November 20 have been announced, with Elon’s TK Simpkins and Nick Dorn named as the winners.

Sophomore TK Simpkins has been named Player of the Week after helping lead Elon to a 2-1 week at the Rock Hill Classic. He scored double figures in all three games, with 19 points in Friday’s win over IUPUI, 12 points in Saturday’s victory over Holy Cross, and 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists on Sunday against Winthrop. His average performance during the week included an impressive 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, along with a shooting percentage of 44% and making 4-of-10 from three. Additionally, he made an impressive 17 out of his 21 free-throw attempts in games against IUPUI and Winthrop.

Freshman Nick Dorn averaged an impressive 11.7 points and 3.3 rebounds during a successful week for Elon that saw them win two out of three games at the Rock Hill Classic. He had a standout performance in the tournament opener against IUPUI where he knocked down four threes on nine attempts for a total of 19 points to lead Elon to victory on Friday. He also played a key role in their win over Holy Cross on Saturday by contributing significantly to their offense. Nick is one of three Elon players averaging double figures this season which is a great sign for the team’s future successes
