Pine Parks and Recreation Department Introduces Exciting New Sports Leagues for Adults this Summer

Pine unveils new summer sports leagues catering to adults.

Pine Parks and Recreation Department is introducing exciting new sports leagues for adults this summer. Starting in June, the department is offering soccer, softball, flag football, and sand volleyball leagues for co-ed athletes aged 19 and above. This is the first time the department has provided such programs for grownups, creating an interesting opportunity for them to stay active and engaged in the community.

Tyler Walker, recreation program manager at the department shared this news at the April 3 meeting of township supervisors. The department has partnered with Sports Monster Pittsburgh, a local branch of a well-established national company that specializes in organizing leagues, tournaments, and events. The co-ed program is open to athletes aged 19 and older who can register either as a team or as individuals to be placed in teams.

The schedule for each sport is as follows: Soccer will be played on Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m., from June 9 to Aug. 18; Softball will be played on Mondays from 6:30 to 9 p.m., or Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon; Flag football will be played on Saturdays from
