The price of electricity has been high this week due to low wind power production. At its highest, electricity cost over 24 cents per kilowatt hour on Thursday. Even on Friday, the average price of exchange electricity including taxes is about 14.5 cents per kilowatt hour, rising to more than 18 cents due to low wind power production.
