Science Museum Oklahoma vying for Newsweek’s Best Science Museum award

Science Museum Oklahoma (SMO) is a cultural institution that has been dedicated to science education since its establishment in 1958. SMO has attracted visitors from all over the world with its interactive exhibits, discovery-based activities, astronomy shows, Science Live demonstrations, educational outreach efforts, and special events.

In 2023, SMO reported record-breaking attendance records with over six million visitors. This year, the museum is set to open a state-of-the-art planetarium in the fall. Sherry Marshall, John E.
