Severe Damage to Trosjed Cable Car Halts Skiing at Sljem Red Spus for 2021

The Trosjed cable car on Crveni spust sustained significant damage during a July storm. This means that the Red Slope will not be operational for skiing this year, disappointing many skiing enthusiasts. However, preparations for the ski season on the White and Green slopes are underway, and plans for a new cable car for the Red Slope are in progress.

Experts from the Austrian company Doppelmayr assessed the damage and concluded that it was beyond repair. This news has left many skiing enthusiasts devastated as they had been eagerly anticipating the start of the season on the Red Slope. However, officials from the City of Zagreb have confirmed that preparatory work has been completed on the White and Green slopes, and snowmaking will soon begin to prepare for the ski season.
