Students from McGill University recently attended the 37th edition of Soup & Science, a unique event that blends knowledge and soup. Held once a semester at the SSMU Building, this week-long event showcases research happening on campus and provides students with an intimate setting to explore various disciplines.

This semester’s topics spanned from quantum meta-photonics to optogenetic stimulation in roundworms, giving students an array of subjects to delve into. Each presenter discussed their project in a short four to five-minute segment, allowing students to gain insight into the research opportunities available at McGill, including undergraduate research awards.

Soup & Science is a popular series that provides students with a taste of the current research being conducted at the University and serves as a platform for engagement and learning. With its diverse range of topics covered and opportunities for interaction with faculty and fellow students, this event is a valuable resource for undergraduate students looking to further their academic and research pursuits.
