Jean Therese Nowak, a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Nov. 18, 2023 at the age of 75 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Born on July 31, 1948 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Clement and Phyllis (Hamilton) Zbytowski, Jean was the third of nine children.

Jean enjoyed many things in her life such as bowling, puzzles, traveling, going to the casino, playing games with her grandkids, and watching them play sports. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She worked for Alpena Community College for 33 years as a custodian.

Jean is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph, three children Ray Nowak Greg (Dawn Anderson) Nowak and Jolene (Jim) Price two grandchildren Alex Shull and Carson Price as well as eight siblings.

Family will receive friends for visitation at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish on Wednesday Nov. 22nd from 9am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Father Tyler Bischoff as the celebrant.
