Central District Health is set to offer a range of low to no-cost services in McCall this summer. These services will include school-age vaccinations, HPV immunizations, and free tests for syphilis and HIV. The health district plans to provide these services on the second Wednesdays of June, July, and August at their Valley County offices located at 703 First St in McCall.

The school-age vaccinations being offered can help children aged 5 and older prepare for summer camp and meet back-to-school requirements. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 208-327-7400 and health insurance is not required. However, patients are asked to bring along their medical records and insurance information if applicable. Appointments are not required for HPV immunizations.

In an effort to increase enrollment in the WIC program, officials are working to address the low participation rate of only 4 in 10 eligible Idahoans currently enrolled. Throughout the year, Central District Health also provides other low-cost or free health programs to eligible Valley County residents. These programs include telehealth visits, tobacco cessation classes, child oral health programs, the Women, Infants, and Children program, and more.
