AmFam Field to return to traditional parking process while new technology problems are fixed

The Brewers’ home opener on Tuesday saw the debut of their new parking technology using license plate recognition. However, some fans encountered issues when trying to activate their parking passes. The team explained that the server holding the passes was not working, so fans had to be scanned in as they had been in previous games. Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger addressed the issues during the game, reassuring fans that nobody would be cited for parking and promising to find a solution.

Schlesinger apologized to fans for any inconvenience caused by the technology glitch. The president of the vendor, Interstate Parking, issued a statement that the connectivity problems resulted from a technology configuration issue on their end and were not connected to the Brewers or MLB Ballpark App. They were working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, would go back to the traditional parking method for the next game. This would involve cashiers scanning prepaid passes and accepting payment for day-of-game parking upon arrival. The vendor apologized for the inconvenience and emphasized that no parking citations were handed out during the game.
