Closing its doors after half a century in Worcester, Tatnuck Meat & Seafood bids farewell

Harvey Slarskey, the founder of Tatnuck Meat and Seafood in Worcester, has closed his business after 50 years. The shop, located at the corner of Pleasant and Mill streets, had become a staple in the community. Slarskey was known for his dedication to providing quality products and building personal relationships with his customers.

Over the decades, Tatnuck Meat and Seafood had built a reputation for offering a wide variety of meats and seafood, catering to the local community in the Tatnuck area. However, as the neighborhood changed, business started to decline. Michael Slarskey, Harvey’s son who stepped in to help three years ago, expressed gratitude to their loyal customers throughout the years and acknowledged that it was time to close the business.

Despite facing challenges running a small business, Harvey remained committed to maintaining high standards. In interviews over the years, he emphasized customer satisfaction and quality products. With the closing of this era in his life, an enduring legacy of Harvey’s commitment to his customers will always be remembered.
