An American woman in her 80s was tragically killed by an elephant while on a car safari in Zambia last weekend. The incident occurred in the Kafue National Park, where the elephant had become separated from its herd and began chasing the vehicle carrying five tourists.

The video taken by one of the tourists in the car captured the terrifying moment when the elephant pursued them, causing them to be chased for hundreds of meters. The driver was forced to stop the vehicle after encountering a road blockade caused by vegetation.

The elephant used its tusks to tip the vehicle on its side, resulting in the death of the 80-year-old woman and serious injuries to another tourist. The remaining tourists suffered minor injuries and are receiving trauma counseling.
