Juan Vicente Perez Mora, a Venezuelan man who was certified by Guinness World Records as the oldest man in the world, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 114. According to officials and family members, Perez had lived for 105 years longer than the average human lifespan.

Perez was officially recognized as the oldest living man on February 4, 2022, when he was 112 years and 253 days old. He had a total of 67 children, including his own biological children and adopted children, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born in El Cobre in Tachira state on May 27, 1909, Perez worked in agriculture from a young age alongside his father and brothers with sugar cane and coffee harvesting. As he grew older, he became a sheriff and played an important role in resolving land disputes while still maintaining his work in agriculture.

Perez’s passing marks the end of an incredible life that spanned over a century. His legacy will continue to inspire people around the world to live long and healthy lives. May he rest in peace.
