Walmart Launches Holiday Resource Center to Aid Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

Nov 21, 2023

Walmart Business has been working hard to develop solutions and services for small businesses, including a membership offering and personalized app experience. Now, the company is helping small businesses prepare for holiday office celebrations by launching its Holiday Party Shop and Employee Gift Finder solutions. This new initiative aims to save time and money for businesses and nonprofits as they prepare for holiday parties. Walmart has partnered with TikTok star Corporate Natalie to provide advice and a curated marketplace shopping experience for holiday party needs. The Gift Finder tool also offers tailored product recommendations, allowing shoppers to sort ideas by price range, customer rating, availability, delivery speed, and brand.

Walmart Business believes that throwing a great party is not only an opportunity to mark the season but also helps foster a sense of camaraderie and team spirit among employees. As part of its robust omnichannel infrastructure, customers can take advantage of same-day delivery or curbside pickup for online orders. Additionally, Walmart Pay is available for members who prefer to shop in-store, allowing them to complete their transaction using the shared payment method in the Walmart Business app.

These flexible offerings demonstrate Walmart’s strategic focus on creating a B2B buying experience that caters to the diverse needs of everyday shoppers while still meeting the unique expectations of small business owners and operators. Ashley Hubka, SVP and General Manager of Walmart Business, explained: “We recognized that we had both the capabilities and the opportunity to really focus on them in a way that we had never done before. That was our strategy – as our ecommerce capabilities have advanced to where they are now, we felt like we had the grounding and the bandwidth to think more about businesses as customers.”
