On November 15 and 16, the media reported that convicted pedophile Ivica Mišković, who had escaped from the Basic Court in Banja Luka, was located in the Zagreb area. We reached out to the Zagreb police for confirmation, and they confirmed that Mišković was indeed found without revealing his name.

According to our sources, there were no grounds for further detention or arrest of Mišković because he is also a Croatian citizen. The Zagreb police explained that as per the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, a Croatian citizen cannot be extradited to another country unless an international agreement or the acquis of the European Union requires it.

However, they mentioned that the condition for extradition or surrender in relation to this person was not met. Interpol Zagreb sent Interpol Sarajevo a notification about the protocol that needs to be followed through the competent judicial authorities.
